Mickey Avenue is the first themed street every visitor walks upon entering the park, located at the very front of the main entrance. Inspired by the stories of classic Disney characters—Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto—the street is lined with retail and dining venues such as the Old Station Shop, Sweethearts Confectionery, and Mickey & Pals Market Cafe. The avenue replaces the nearly 60-year tradition of 'Main Street, U.S.A.' found at other Disney parks worldwide, incorporating Chinese elements—building colors and decorative motifs draw from Shanghai's Bund and Old City styles. It is the best viewing spot for the Mickey's Storybook Express parade and the central hub for photos with Duffy, ShellieMay, StellaLou, and Gelatoni.

Gardens of Imagination is situated in the north-central part of the park, with the Enchanted Storybook Castle as its visual centerpiece, surrounding it with classic attractions. The land's signature ride, Fantasia Carousel, was handcrafted by Chinese artisans using 72 colors, making it one of the most elaborate carousels in any Disney park worldwide. Other attractions include Dumbo the Flying Elephant, the Garden of the Twelve Friends (where Disney characters interpret the Chinese zodiac in mural form), Marvel Heroes Headquarters (an indoor interactive experience including Iron Man transformations), and a classic photo spot with Mickey. The garden design extensively uses Chinese garden elements—pavilions, rockeries, willows, and lotus ponds—making it the park's most photogenic area for strolling.

Adventure Isle is located in the southeast of the park, themed around ancient jungle-tribe expeditions. The land's core landmark is Roaring Mountain—an artificial rock formation threaded with a river rapids course and a flight-theater attraction. The signature ride, Soaring Over the Horizon, is one of the park's longest-queued attractions, where guests board suspended flying vehicles and soar over global landmarks on a giant dome screen (height requirement: 102cm+). Other adventures include Roaring Rapids (an outdoor white-water raft ride, 107cm+) and Camp Discovery (rope courses and outdoor exploration trails). The land's design draws from a blend of Pacific Island and South American jungle civilizations, enveloped in mist and water effects, making it one of the park's most immersive themed areas.

Treasure Cove is located in the northeast of the park, the first pirate-themed land in any Disney park worldwide. Based on the Pirates of the Caribbean films, it recreates an 18th-century Caribbean port town—cobblestone streets, wooden docks, weathered taverns, and pirate ship masts. The signature attraction, Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure, is the park's most technologically advanced boat ride, taking guests through underwater shipwrecks, pirate battles, and volcanic eruptions with seamless projection-and-physical-set integration. Additional attractions include Siren's Revenge (a shipboarding experience) and Explorer Canoes (paddling through the waterways between Treasure Cove and Adventure Isle). The land's stage show, Eye of the Storm: Captain Jack's Stunt Spectacular, runs approximately 30 minutes and is one of the park's most popular live performances.

Fantasyland is located in the northern part of the park and features the most attractions of any themed land (9 total), with classic Disney animated fairy tales as its core narrative. The land's centerpiece, the Enchanted Storybook Castle, is the tallest and largest Disney castle in the world, crowned with Chinese auspicious clouds, peonies, and magnolia elements—the park's most popular photo spot. Signature attractions include Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (a family coaster, 97cm+), Peter Pan's Flight (an indoor suspended flight ride), The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (an indoor boat ride), Voyage to the Crystal Grotto (an outdoor water attraction), and Alice in Wonderland Maze (an outdoor interactive maze). Inside the castle, guests can also enjoy 'Once Upon a Time' Storybook Adventure with Snow White and the 'Frozen Sing-Along Celebration' show (approximately 20 minutes).

Tomorrowland is located in the northwest of the park, themed around futuristic technology and science-fiction exploration. The land's architectural style is filled with streamlined metallic forms and neon lighting effects, creating a cyberpunk futuristic-urban atmosphere. The signature attraction, TRON Lightcycle Power Run presented by Chevrolet, is an indoor high-speed motorcycle-style roller coaster (122cm+) where guests straddle glowing lightcycles and race through a tunnel of light and shadow—one of the most thrilling coasters in any Disney park worldwide. Other attractions include Buzz Lightyear Planet Rescue (an indoor interactive shooter), Jet Packs (an outdoor rotating flight ride, 122cm+), and TRON Digital Challenge presented by Chevrolet (an interactive future-driving experience). The land also regularly hosts 'Avengers Training Initiative' shows and 'Club E' electronic music parties.

Toy Story Land is located in the northwest of the park, adjacent to Tomorrowland. Opened on April 26, 2018, it was the first expansion themed land at Shanghai Disneyland. The land's design is based on the Toy Story film universe—upon entering, guests 'shrink' to toy size and step into Andy's backyard, where everyday objects like building blocks, Slinky Dog, paper kites, and dominoes become oversized giant installations. Signature attractions include Rex's Racer (a U-shaped track ride, 120cm+), Slinky Dog Spin (an outdoor rotating chase ride), and Woody's Round-Up (a Western wagon ride, 81cm+). The land is vibrantly colored and leisurely paced, making it the most family- and young-child-friendly themed area in the park.

Zootopia is located in the eastern part of the park, adjacent to Treasure Cove. Officially opened on December 20, 2023, it is the world's first Zootopia-themed land and the eighth major themed land at Shanghai Disneyland. The land faithfully recreates the city scenes from the film—districts for animals of different sizes, the train system, neon signage, and City Hall. The signature attraction, Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, is the park's newest high-tech immersive ride. Interactive installations and photo spots featuring Nick, Judy, Flash, and other film characters are found throughout the land. On March 10, 2023, the red panda 'Mei Mei' made its global debut here. In November 2024, the land received the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) 2025 'Outstanding Achievement Award for a Theme Park Land.'

Disneytown is located just south of the main entrance of Shanghai Disneyland, serving as the resort's standalone commercial and entertainment district—accessible without a park ticket. Covering approximately 46,000 square meters, it is divided into three areas: Marketplace, Broadway Plaza, and Broadway Avenue, gathering globally renowned dining brands (such as The Cheesecake Factory, The BOATHOUSE, and Element Table), Disney's official store (one of the world's largest Disney flagship stores), Dayin Bookstore, and the LEGO flagship store. The Walt Disney Grand Theatre within Disneytown stages the Broadway musical 'The Lion King' in Mandarin (separate ticket required). The district also hosts seasonal markets, outdoor performances, and light installations, making it a popular destination for visitors to spend half a day outside the park.

Wishing Star Park is located on the western side of Shanghai Disney Resort, built around the 400,000-square-meter Wishing Star Lake. It is a free, open public park independent of the park's perimeter walls. The park features an approximately 2.5-kilometer lakeside trail lined with waterfront platforms, gardens, a children's playground, picnic lawns, and numerous photo spots. Its name draws inspiration from 'When You Wish Upon a Star' from Disney's animated film Mulan. At the lake's center stands a giant illuminated installation called 'Wishing Star,' which lights up at night and reflects on the water—one of the resort's signature night views. The park also offers bicycle rentals (two- and four-seater), kayaking experiences, and seasonal flower exhibitions, making it an ideal choice for families and runners to spend time outside the park.
